AltaML

AltaML is an applied artificial intelligence and machine learning studio based in Edmonton, Alberta, that develops custom AI solutions and operates a venture studio to build industry-specific software products. The company partners with enterprise and public sector clients across the financial services, healthcare, energy, and agriculture industries to improve operational efficiency, manage risk, and generate revenue through applied AI models. Operating with a workforce of approximately 100 to 150 employees, the firm covers the full machine learning lifecycle and achieves a 70 percent operationalization rate for its developed solutions. AltaML has collaborated with notable partners and customers, including ATB Financial, AIMCo, Compass Group, and the Government of Alberta, with whom it launched the GovLab.ai initiative alongside Mitacs. The organization was founded in 2018 by co-founders and co-chief executive officers Cory Janssen and Nicole Janssen.
