Holtzbrinck Digital is the investment and digital business division of Holtzbrinck Publishing Group, based in Stuttgart, Germany, specializing in internet companies and digital media services. As part of a global media conglomerate with 5,673 employees operating in over 50 countries, the parent group recorded 2.1 billion euros in sales in 2005. The division's strategic ventures include the landmark 2015 formation of Springer Nature, where Holtzbrinck maintains a majority stake, integrating science and education businesses. Under the broader leadership of Stefan von Holtzbrinck, Chairman and CEO of the parent company, it actively invests in AI applications and digital innovation. Holtzbrinck Digital was established as a division during the 2010s reorganization of the Holtzbrinck Publishing Group, which Georg von Holtzbrinck refounded in 1948.
