TPG Rise Climate operates as a multi-strategy investment platform dedicated to deploying capital into critical climate solutions. It employs an integrated approach across private equity, transition infrastructure, and a global south initiative, focusing on accelerating and achieving decarbonization at scale. The platform invests holistically across the climate sector, targeting companies involved in clean electrons, clean molecules and materials, and negative emissions technologies.

The platform was launched in 2021 as a significant expansion of TPG’s existing Rise Funds, conceived from the insight that climate change represents a generational investment theme demanding dedicated capital and a comprehensive strategy. The initiative aims to generate strong financial returns alongside measurable environmental impact. Hank Paulson, former U.S. Treasury Secretary, serves as Executive Chairman, providing strategic leadership.

TPG Rise Climate partners with companies that are developing and scaling innovative climate solutions across diverse geographies and sub-sectors. It also convenes the Rise Climate Coalition, a group of major multinational corporations collaborating to share knowledge and investment opportunities.
