Aaron Muszalski

Aaron Muszalski is the Executive Director of Burning Wish and is based in San Francisco, California. He previously founded Threadable, a SaaS collaboration platform backed by Y Combinator that was successfully acquired in 2014. In the nonprofit sector, Muszalski pioneered content marketing strategies at the Wikimedia Foundation, where his initiatives raised over $20 million. His earlier career spans visual effects and art technology, including technical and instructional roles as a Visual Effects Artist at Industrial Light + Magic and Lead Art Technician at LucasArts. Since 2007, he has been involved with the Black Rock City Department of Public Works, managing infrastructure for the Burning Man festival. Following a 2018 stage IV cancer diagnosis, his career shifted toward patient advocacy. Muszalski currently focuses on nonprofit community building and granting experiential wishes to cancer patients and their caregivers.
