Aayush Shah

Aayush Shah is the co-founder and co-CTO of Blacksmith, a continuous integration infrastructure startup based in New York, New York. In this executive role, he develops distributed systems designed to optimize continuous integration workflows and reduce compute costs for enterprise engineering teams. Under his technical direction, the Y Combinator-backed company recently closed a $10 million Series A funding round led by Google Ventures in a span of fourteen days. Previously, Shah served as a systems engineer on the core replication team at Cockroach Labs. During his tenure, he received the internal Spartan Award for his direct technical contributions to securing the largest commercial contract in the database provider's history. He earned a degree in computer science from the University of Waterloo. His professional background centers on advancing developer operations, database replication, and high-performance infrastructure.
