Abdulrahman Bin Omar

Abdulrahman Bin Omar is the Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Gridware, an energy technology startup based in the San Francisco Bay Area, California. Founded in 2020, the company develops AI-powered systems for electrical grid monitoring and secured $5.3 million in early funding through Y Combinator. Under his operational leadership, the venture has grown to support up to 86 employees and produced the Gridscope sensor, which was recognized as a Time magazine Best Invention of 2022. Prior to launching Gridware, he gained engineering experience in the energy sector through roles at Saudi Aramco, Schlumberger, and KAPSARC. He holds a Master of Science in Product Development from the University of California, Berkeley, where he initially incubated his current venture. His current focus centers on scaling hardware operations to mitigate wildfire risks and improve power grid reliability.
