Abraham Kuri Vargas

Abraham Kuri Vargas is the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Coba, a fintech company based in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. Founded in 2022, the nine-employee startup participated in the Y Combinator Summer 2023 cohort and provides dual currency accounts for Latin American remote workers. Under his technical direction, Coba secured $2.2 million in seed funding in January 2024, co-led by Alaya VC Capital and Switch VC. Vargas holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Technology and has accumulated over a decade of professional web development experience since he began programming at age eighteen. Prior to his current venture, he worked with the software design agency Icalia Labs and authored the technical book "APIs on Rails." His current focus centers on leveraging his Ruby on Rails expertise to build scalable cross-border banking solutions for the Latin American freelance economy.
