Adam Hearne

Adam Hearne is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of CarbonChain, a specialized carbon accounting software platform based in London, England. Prior to launching the climate tech startup in 2020, he spent 12 years in the mining industry focusing on resource extraction and three years managing complex global supply chains at Amazon. The devastating 2019 Australian bushfires catalyzed his professional transition from corporate logistics to developing software that provides transparency in global carbon reporting. Under his leadership, CarbonChain participated in the Y Combinator accelerator program and subsequently secured a $10 million Series A funding round in April 2023. This institutional investment was co-led by prominent venture capital firms Union Square Ventures and Voyager Ventures. Hearne currently focuses on helping heavy-emitting sectors, such as metals, energy, and agriculture, accurately track and reduce their commodity supply chain emissions.
