Aditya (JP) Jayaprakash

Aditya (JP) Jayaprakash is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Blacksmith, a developer infrastructure startup focused on optimizing continuous integration compute. He holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo and previously researched theoretical computer science. Prior to launching Blacksmith, Jayaprakash worked as a software engineer at Faire, where he focused on search infrastructure and served as a founding member of the company's advertising team. In this role, he led retrieval and targeting initiatives that scaled the advertising product from zero to millions of dollars in revenue. At Blacksmith, a Y Combinator W24 graduate backed by investors including the CEO of Cockroach Labs, he has grown the enterprise to a 15-person team supporting over 12,000 users. His current focus centers on building bare metal fleets to deliver faster and more efficient GitHub Actions for technology startups.
