Ahmad Hammouda is the Co-Founder and CEO of Thndr, a digital wealth and investment platform based in Cairo, Egypt. Previously, he served as the General Manager of Uber Egypt from 2017 to 2019, where he grew regional bookings by 65% year-over-year to approximately $500 million and participated in the $3.1 billion acquisition of Careem. Before his tenure in ride-hailing, he co-founded Apron in 2016, establishing Egypt's first branded dark kitchen and scaling the operation to an EGP 12 million run rate. His early career includes eight years as a Vice President in investment banking, advising on capital market transactions exceeding EGP 10 billion. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and is a CFA charterholder.
