Akash Kumar

Akash Kumar is the Co-Founder of Dime, an AI-powered factory operating system startup based in New York City. Founded in 2023, the five-person company participated in the Y Combinator Winter 2024 batch and raised $500,000 in seed funding from investors including Tekedia Capital. Previously, Kumar worked as a Software Engineer on the AI Platform at Snapchat and built a travel agency that generated over $100,000 in 2023 revenue. He holds a Master's in Artificial Intelligence from Georgia Tech and a Bachelor's in Computer Science from the University of Michigan. Growing up in Detroit, he gained early exposure to industrial operations through his family's automotive sector work, including his mother's engineering role at Chrysler. Kumar currently focuses on bridging his software expertise with his manufacturing background to optimize production planning for industrial facilities.
