Alex Lofton is the Co-Founder of Landed, a Y Combinator-backed real estate technology company, and a Board Member at Terner Labs in the San Francisco Bay Area. Since establishing Landed in 2015, he helped secure a $31 million Series B venture funding round in 2021 to provide down payment assistance to thousands of essential workers. Previously, Lofton managed field operations for Barack Obama's 2007-2008 presidential campaign, overseeing hundreds of paid staff and thousands of volunteers, before serving as a founding regional director at the Democratic National Committee. He gained early commercial real estate experience at the developer Forest City and holds a B.A. from Northwestern University alongside an MBA from Stanford University. His professional focus centers on leveraging property technology and shared appreciation financial models to expand homeownership access and improve housing affordability nationwide.
