Ali Shahriyari

Ali Shahriyari is the CTO and Co-Founder of Reality Defender, based in Los Angeles, California. Since co-founding the company in August 2021, he has overseen the technical development of deepfake detection platforms, helping secure a $15 million Series A funding round led by DCVC in October 2023. Under his technical leadership, Reality Defender was named the most innovative startup at the 2024 RSA Conference. Previously, Shahriyari served as Director of Product at The AI Foundation from 2019 to 2021, acting as the mobile technical lead for the Digital Deepak application. He also spent a decade at Originate, advancing from Senior Software Engineer to Vice President while managing complex software systems for Fortune 500 clients. His 25-year career spans the entire software development lifecycle, with a current focus on cybersecurity solutions protecting enterprises against generative AI threats.
