Amir Elaguizy

Amir Elaguizy is the Chief Strategy Officer at Overmoon and the Chief Executive Officer at Fun Country, based in Austin, Texas. He previously served as the Co-founder and CEO of Cratejoy, a subscription marketplace that supported tens of thousands of merchants and secured over $30 million in venture funding. Before participating in Y Combinator's 2013 batch, he co-founded and acted as the Chief Technology Officer of MarketZero, a gaming analytics startup acquired by Zynga in 2011. Following the acquisition, he transitioned to a Director of Engineering role at Zynga, architecting a 40-terabyte real-time database. At Overmoon, he recently helped the tech-enabled vacation rental platform raise $80 million in debt and equity financing in February 2024. His career focuses on building and scaling venture-backed software platforms across the gaming, e-commerce, and real estate technology sectors.
