Angelica Iacovelli is the CEO and co-founder of Nucleo, an artificial intelligence startup developing an agentic software platform for oncology and medical imaging applications. She holds bachelor's and master's degrees in mathematical engineering from Politecnico di Milano, specializing in advanced machine learning and scientific computing. Previously, Iacovelli worked as a researcher at Stanford University, where she developed cardiovascular models using neural networks that were subsequently integrated into NVIDIA’s scientific computing libraries. Under her leadership, Nucleo joined the Y Combinator Fall 2025 batch and established clinical partnerships with major research hospitals to analyze patient CT scans for tumor characterization and treatment planning. In 2025, she was recognized as one of the 11 most influential Italians under 35 in the software sector. Her current focus centers on bridging mathematical engineering and artificial intelligence to build automated diagnostic tools for healthcare providers.
