Anil Varanasi

Anil Varanasi is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Meter, an enterprise networking platform based in San Francisco, California. Before launching Meter, he served as a Senior Engineering Manager at AWS and held earlier technical roles at Microsoft. Varanasi holds a doctorate in Computer Science from Stanford University and has scaled his current venture to serve more than one hundred enterprise customers across millions of square feet of commercial real estate. Under his leadership, Meter has secured more than $85 million in total venture funding, including a $35 million round in 2024 and a previous Series B led by Sequoia Capital. To expand its hardware capabilities, the company recently established a strategic partnership with NVIDIA. His ongoing focus remains on developing highly scalable cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and Network-as-a-Service solutions for modern commercial enterprises.
