Artavazd Mehrabyan

Artavazd Mehrabyan is the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of the digital editing platform Picsart, based in Yerevan, Armenia. Alongside co-founder Hovhannes Avoyan, he scaled the enterprise into a technology unicorn valued at over $1 billion following a $130 million Series C funding round led by SoftBank. Backed by Sequoia Capital since 2014, the software application has achieved more than 1 billion global downloads across 180 countries and maintains over 150 million monthly active users. Before establishing the company, he held software engineering and technical leadership roles at Lycos Europe and Sourcio, and he earned a Master of Science in Computer and Information Science from the American University of Armenia. His current technical focus centers on integrating generative artificial intelligence, machine learning, and computer vision capabilities into consumer mobile applications for the global creator economy.
