Ashi Dissanayake

Ashi Dissanayake is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Spaceium, an aerospace technology startup developing advanced infrastructure for the emerging commercial space economy. Prior to establishing her current venture, she contributed to advanced aerodynamic modeling projects for NASA and developed complex real-time interplanetary transfer models designed specifically for an unmanned asteroid return mission. Her technical engineering background encompasses the direct manufacturing of physical aerospace hardware, where she has built functional rocket engines, integrated payload structures, and designed specialized spacecraft recovery systems. Under her executive leadership, Spaceium successfully secured early institutional backing from Y Combinator and participated in the accelerator's Summer 2024 cohort to scale its proprietary orbital technologies. As an aerospace engineer, Dissanayake currently focuses on leveraging her specialized expertise in orbital mechanics and rocket propulsion to build next-generation space infrastructure systems for commercial and government applications.
