Avi Itskovich

Avi Itskovich is the Co-founder of Watershed, an enterprise climate platform, and is based in San Francisco, California. Before establishing the software company in 2019 alongside former colleagues, he worked as a Software Engineer at Stripe. Under his technical direction, Watershed has grown into a $1.8 billion climate technology business backed by prominent venture capital investors including Sequoia Capital. The software-as-a-service platform recently secured a $100 million Series C funding round in early 2024 to expand its carbon accounting tools for major corporate clients such as Microsoft and Airbnb. Prior to his entrepreneurial career, he earned a Bachelor of Mathematics in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo. His current focus centers on developing advanced artificial intelligence-powered environmental data analytics to help global enterprises accurately measure, report, and reduce their total carbon emissions.
