Ayo Omojola

Ayo Omojola is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Substrate and the Founder and General Partner at Refract, based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Previously, he served as the Head of Banking at Cash App, a subsidiary of Block, where he directed the development and scaling of consumer financial products, including the widely used Cash Card. Following his tenure in financial technology, he joined Carbon Health as Chief Product Officer, helping scale the healthcare provider into a multi-billion dollar enterprise before departing in 2022. Earlier in his career, he founded Mailform.io and established Hipmob, a customer support software startup that participated in the Y Combinator Winter 2012 cohort. His current professional focus centers on building application programming interface infrastructure through Substrate and directing early-stage venture capital investments across the technology sector via Refract.
