Ben Sand

Ben Sand is the Founder of Strong Compute, an artificial intelligence cloud infrastructure company based in Sydney and the San Francisco Bay Area. Prior to his current venture, he served as the Co-founder of Meta, an early pioneer in augmented reality headset hardware that secured tens of millions in venture capital funding. Sand is a two-time alumnus of the Y Combinator accelerator, having initially participated in the Summer 2013 batch with Meta and later returning for the Winter 2022 batch with Strong Compute. Since launching Strong Compute in 2022, he has actively scaled the firm's specialized cloud offerings to support computationally intensive machine learning workloads for enterprise clients. His broader entrepreneurial career centers on developing deep technology solutions, transitioning his primary focus from early augmented reality hardware to building foundational infrastructure for modern artificial intelligence applications.
