Brian Model

Brian Model is the CTO and Co-Founder of Thunder Compute, an artificial intelligence infrastructure startup based in Atlanta, Georgia. Founded in 2024, the Y Combinator-backed company provides affordable cloud computing services, launching one-click GPU instances at an eighty percent cost reduction for developers. Under his technical leadership, Thunder Compute secured a $4.5 million seed funding round led by Matrix Partners in January 2026 to expand its operations. Prior to establishing his current venture, Model worked as a Quantitative Developer at Citadel Securities, where he specialized in high-performance software engineering and quantitative finance infrastructure. He previously studied at the Georgia Institute of Technology, building a strong academic foundation in complex systems and advanced software development. His career centers on optimizing high-performance computing resources, transitioning from algorithmic trading systems to accessible GPU cloud infrastructure for artificial intelligence workloads.
