Brontë Kolar

Brontë Kolar is the cofounder and chief executive officer of Zeon Systems, an artificial intelligence and robotics startup based in San Francisco, California. Founded in 2025 alongside cofounder Tahir D’Mello, the five-person company is currently participating in the Y Combinator X25 batch. Zeon Systems focuses on automating scientific laboratory work by developing technology that directly converts natural language protocols into executable robotic experiments. Prior to establishing her current venture, Kolar worked as an early engineer at LatchBio and conducted computational biology research at the University of California, San Francisco, and the University of Pennsylvania. She previously engineered electronic systems for electric aircraft and high-density batteries before formally transitioning her career into the biotechnology sector. Her professional background ultimately merges complex hardware engineering with computational biology to accelerate scientific discovery through advanced laboratory automation.
