Chad Rigetti

Chad Rigetti is a deep tech entrepreneur and the founder and former CEO of Rigetti Computing, a pioneering quantum company based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Before launching his own venture, he earned a doctorate in Applied Physics from Yale University and worked as a research scientist within the quantum computing group at IBM. He guided Rigetti Computing through the Y Combinator accelerator program and subsequently secured over $200 million in venture capital funding from prominent investors including Andreessen Horowitz. Under his leadership, the company completed a SPAC merger in March 2022 to debut on the NASDAQ exchange at an initial implied valuation of one and a half billion dollars. After stepping down from his executive and board positions in late 2022, his primary focus remains the advancement of superconducting qubits and hybrid quantum-classical hardware systems.
