Cristóbal Griffero

Cristóbal Griffero is the Co-founder and CEO of Fintual, a wealth management and fintech platform based in Santiago, Chile. Before launching Fintual, he co-founded Platanus, a software development boutique and venture studio, and previously held engineering roles at regional technology companies. He holds a degree in Civil Industrial Engineering with a diploma in Computer Science from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Under his leadership, Fintual became the first Chilean startup accepted into Y Combinator and subsequently grew to manage over $1 billion in assets under management for hundreds of thousands of retail investors. In 2021, Griffero directed a $39 million Series B funding round led by Sequoia Capital, with participation from Kaszek, to accelerate regional expansion into Mexico. His current focus centers on scaling Latin American fintech infrastructure and expanding accessible personal finance solutions.
