Curtis Fonger is the Co-Founder and CEO of Whalesync, a data synchronization startup based in St. Petersburg, Florida. Founded in 2021 and backed by Y Combinator's S21 batch, the company manages a team of eight employees and raised a $1.8 million pre-seed round in January 2023 to build infrastructure connecting platforms like Airtable and Webflow. Before launching Whalesync, Fonger served as CTO and Co-Founder of Appetas, a startup that was acquired by Google in 2014. Following the acquisition, he worked as an engineer at Google on products including Google Maps and Area 120, after previously spending three years as a Software Development Engineer at Microsoft from 2009 to 2012. The MIT graduate, who also completed early internships at Amazon and Electronic Arts, currently focuses on developing B2B SaaS infrastructure and no-code developer tools.
