David Lieb

David Lieb is a General Partner at Y Combinator based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He previously served as the co-founder and CEO of Bump, a mobile application that amassed over 150 million users before being acquired by Google in 2013. Following the acquisition, Lieb became a product lead at Google, where his team's unreleased application served as the foundation for Google Photos, a platform now utilized by over one billion people. His earlier career includes roles as a researcher at the Stanford AI Lab and a software engineer at Texas Instruments, supported by engineering degrees from Princeton and Stanford. Since transitioning to venture capital, he has conducted over 500 office hours and worked with startups holding a combined valuation exceeding $10 billion. Lieb currently focuses on early-stage venture capital, consumer technology, and mentoring founders.
