David Rusenko

David Rusenko is an angel investor and the former Chief Executive Officer of Weebly, currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He co-founded the popular website builder in 2006 while studying information sciences at Penn State University, and subsequently participated in Y Combinator's Winter 2007 batch. Under his leadership, Weebly scaled to power more than 50 million websites globally and expanded its workforce to over 300 employees. Following Square's acquisition of the company for $365 million in May 2018, he transitioned to serve as the General Manager of eCommerce until his departure in early 2021. As an active seed investor, his personal portfolio includes early financial backing for notable technology startups such as Cruise, Parse, and Zenefits. His current professional focus centers on early-stage technology investments across the SaaS, consumer internet, and eCommerce sectors.
