Derek Schairer

Derek Schairer is the Co-founder of Foundation, a specialized buyer experience software platform designed specifically for the residential construction industry. He has accumulated over 15 years of domain expertise across residential real estate and property technology, gaining significant early experience with traditional construction operations while working at Lennar, one of the largest homebuilders in the United States market. Prior to launching Foundation, Schairer served as the General Manager of the homebuilder division at Opendoor. During his executive tenure at the digital real estate platform, he successfully scaled the homebuilder segment into the company's first partnership channel to exceed $1 billion in total generated value. Drawing on this extensive experience, his current focus centers entirely on bridging the historical gap between traditional homebuilding processes and modern property technology to fully digitize the new construction sector.
