Devin Finzer is the co-founder and CEO of OpenSea, a decentralized marketplace for on-chain assets, currently based between New York and the San Francisco Bay Area. He holds a dual bachelor's degree in computer science and mathematics from Brown University and previously worked as a software engineer at Google and Pinterest. In 2013, Finzer co-founded the personal finance platform Claimdog, which he successfully sold to Credit Karma in 2016 before leading their internal integration team. Under his leadership, OpenSea reached a peak valuation of $13.3 billion in 2022, though he recently reduced the corporate workforce by 50 percent to restructure operations amid ongoing SEC regulatory scrutiny.
