Devraj Gopal

Devraj Gopal is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Wedge, an early-stage healthcare artificial intelligence software startup based in San Francisco, California. Prior to establishing the company in 2025 alongside co-founder Steven Segawa, he worked as an artificial intelligence researcher at Stanford University's Neuro AI Lab and Johns Hopkins Medical. Under his leadership, Wedge developed an operating system designed to help medical organizations implement and govern AI agents, securing early acceptance into Y Combinator's Summer 2025 startup batch. The enterprise subsequently completed a $15 million seed funding round in June 2025, attracting capital from prominent investment firms including defy.vc, HOF Capital, and Alumni Ventures. Leveraging his academic background in health technology, Gopal currently focuses on building data infrastructure and governance frameworks that enable hospitals to safely deploy machine learning systems in clinical settings.
