Diana Hu is a General Partner at Y Combinator based in the San Francisco Bay Area. She previously served as the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Escher Reality, an augmented reality startup that participated in the Y Combinator Summer 2017 batch. Following the acquisition of Escher Reality by Niantic, she transitioned to Head of the AR Platform for the gaming company. Earlier in her career, she led data science at OnCue TV before its sale to Verizon, and she holds bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical and computer engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. In her current advisory capacity, she has conducted over 1,700 office hours across five accelerator batches, working with alumni companies holding a combined valuation of $1.7 billion. Her investment focus centers on early-stage technology startups specializing in computer vision, machine learning, and augmented reality.
