Doug Leone

Doug Leone is a Partner on the seed, early, and growth teams at Sequoia Capital, based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He joined the venture capital firm in 1988 after holding sales and management positions at Sun Microsystems, eventually advancing to managing partner in 1996 and global managing partner in 2012. During his tenure leading the firm, Leone oversaw its international expansion into China and India, helping build a portfolio that contributed to his estimated net worth of $10.8 billion. His investment track record includes backing prominent enterprise and consumer technology companies such as ServiceNow and Nubank. In July 2022, he officially stepped down from his global leadership position, transitioning the management role to Roelof Botha.
