Douglas Lopes

Douglas Lopes is a technology executive and former growth and operations leader at Airfox, based in São Paulo, Brazil. Prior to his work in the financial technology sector, he served as a strategy consultant at Bain & Company and Monitor Group, advising multinational corporations on business operations. During his tenure at Airfox and its digital wallet platform banQi, Lopes directed user acquisition strategies that scaled the application to millions of active users. He subsequently played a central role in facilitating the company's full acquisition by Brazilian retail conglomerate Via Varejo in May 2020. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidade de São Paulo and earned an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management. His professional focus currently centers on consumer technology growth, digital payments expansion, and mergers and acquisitions within emerging markets.
