Eldrick Millares

Eldrick Millares is the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Illuminant Surgical, an early-stage medical technology startup currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area. After immigrating from the Philippines to West Virginia, he attended Stanford University, where he successfully earned both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering. At Illuminant Surgical, Millares leads the engineering and development of an augmented reality and computer vision platform specifically designed to project real-time anatomical data directly onto patients during complex procedures. Backed by the prominent startup accelerator Y Combinator, the company is initially targeting spine surgery and interventional access with a navigation system engineered to achieve sub-2-millimeter accuracy. His current professional focus centers on leveraging artificial intelligence and advanced projection mapping to significantly reduce spinal fusion revision rates and improve overall image-guided surgical workflows.
