Elyas Obbad

Elyas Obbad is the Co-founder of Alara, an artificial intelligence startup, where he directs the development of advanced machine learning systems. Prior to launching this venture, he held engineering leadership roles at DoorDash, Google, and Meta. During his tenure at these major technology firms, he built and scaled consumer artificial intelligence products that are currently utilized by millions of users. Obbad earned a Master of Science in Computer Science from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science from Columbia University, specializing in intelligent systems. Additionally, he served as a researcher at Stanford’s Trustworthy AI Lab, producing first-author publications on large language model data curation and alignment for premier conferences including ICML and NeurIPS.
