Enrique Ferrao

Enrique Ferrao is the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer at Pipeshift, an artificial intelligence infrastructure company. Prior to his current venture, he served as a technology leader at a previous startup where he successfully scaled large language models to support thousands of active users. At Pipeshift, Ferrao develops a modular orchestration platform designed to maximize computational efficiency and hardware performance for open-source AI components across cloud and on-premises environments. His engineering work focuses on optimizing inference engines and fine-tuning processes for advanced hardware accelerators, including Nvidia A100, L40s, and H100 graphics processing units, alongside Intel Gaudi 2 chips. In April 2025, he presented at Agent Hour on open-source AI complexities, addressing multi-GPU deployment challenges and application programming interface inconsistencies. Ferrao's current focus remains on building scalable infrastructure solutions that streamline the deployment and hardware optimization of large language models.
