Erica Brescia

Erica Brescia is a Managing Director at Redpoint Ventures based in San Francisco, California, where she leads early-stage investments. Before joining the firm, she served as the Chief Operating Officer at GitHub from 2019 to 2021 following the platform's acquisition by Microsoft. Previously, she was the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Bitnami, a Y Combinator-backed developer tooling startup that was acquired by VMware in May 2019. Alongside her executive roles, she has served on the board of directors for the Linux Foundation since 2016 and acts as an investor at X Factor Ventures. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern California. Her current investment strategy focuses on leading seed and Series A rounds for startups operating within the artificial intelligence, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and open-source software sectors.
