Esteban Penaloza

Esteban Peñaloza is the Co-founder and Chief Financial Officer of trii, a mobile retail investment platform currently based in Bogotá, Colombia, and Mexico City. He helped launch the wealthtech startup through the Y Combinator W21 batch in March 2021, subsequently raising millions in venture capital from prominent institutional investors including Global Founders Capital. Under his executive leadership, the company integrated directly with the Bolsa de Valores de Colombia to significantly reduce trading fees, successfully processing millions of trades for everyday retail investors. Peñaloza also managed the financial strategy and regional operations that facilitated the platform's international expansion into the Peruvian and Chilean stock markets throughout 2022.
