Fern Morrison

Fern Morrison is the CEO and Co-Founder of IronGrid, an AI-powered hardware insurance startup based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Prior to founding the company in 2025, she served as the Product Lead and employee number nine at Mitra Chem, a next-generation battery manufacturer that has raised over $200 million in venture funding. Morrison previously worked as a Global Supply Manager on the Apple Battery team from 2020 to 2022 and earned a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University in 2025. Her work in the climate technology sector recently earned her recognition as a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree in December 2025. She now leverages her five years of battery materials and supply chain experience to develop AI-driven risk models and insurance solutions for frontier hardware assets, beginning with grid-scale energy storage systems.
