Gavin Saldanha

Gavin Saldanha is the Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Lightscreen AI, a recruitment technology startup developing voice and video artificial intelligence for technical interviews. The company participated in the Y Combinator Fall 2024 batch, building automated screening agents utilized by high-growth startups and specialized recruiting agencies. Prior to his current venture, he served as the engineering lead at both Cauzal AI and Stacked, directing technical teams and overseeing early-stage product development. He previously worked as a software engineer at Google Cloud to scale machine learning systems and co-authored a published research paper on text generation alongside researchers at IBM Watson. Saldanha earned an undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley and a Master's degree from Columbia University. His professional focus remains on advancing applied machine learning infrastructure and deploying natural language processing solutions for enterprise software.
