Goutham Buchi

Goutham Buchi is the Chief Technology Officer at AngelList, based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Appointed to the position in 2023, he oversees the engineering and technical strategy for a venture platform that serves millions of users and thousands of investment funds. Previously, Buchi served as the Senior Director of Engineering at Coinbase, where he managed and scaled technical teams during the cryptocurrency exchange's hypergrowth phase to a multi-billion dollar valuation between 2021 and 2022. Before his tenure in the digital asset sector, he founded the software startup Sycamore, which participated in the Y Combinator Winter 2017 batch, and worked as an early-stage employee at Coursera prior to its initial public offering. His current focus centers on building scalable financial technology infrastructure and leading engineering organizations across the venture capital, cryptocurrency, and educational technology sectors.
