Gustaf Alstromer

Gustaf Alströmer is a General Partner at Y Combinator, based in San Francisco, California. Originally from Sweden, he co-founded Heysan as part of the YC Winter 2007 batch before joining Voxer as Head of Growth. He subsequently spent four and a half years at Airbnb as a Product Lead on the Growth team, which he helped establish in 2012. After leaving Airbnb, Alströmer joined Y Combinator as a Group Partner, where he has worked directly with more than 600 early-stage startups and invested in over 130 companies. The YC companies he has worked with hold a combined valuation exceeding $118 billion. He co-authored a request for startups in climate technology and his current investment focus spans growth-stage consumer products, marketplace businesses, and climate technology ventures.
