Haris Sahmanovic

Haris Sahmanovic is the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Forge, a supply chain software startup based in New York City. Prior to establishing the company in May 2023 alongside his brother Emir, he worked as a backend software engineer at Facebook and Vanguard. At Forge, Sahmanovic leads the technical development of duty drawback recovery software designed for hardware manufacturing companies. Under his technical leadership, the three-person startup participated in the Y Combinator Winter 2024 batch and subsequently secured a $2.1 million seed funding round led by Google's Gradient Ventures in June 2024. The company has also established strategic partnerships with firms like Cofactr to streamline import duty recovery processes for active paying customers. His current focus centers on leveraging his enterprise engineering background to build automated procurement and tariff recovery solutions for the global hardware supply chain.
