Jack Dorsey

Jack Dorsey is the principal executive officer and chairman of Block, Inc., based in San Francisco, California. Prior to his current role, he co-founded Twitter in 2006 and served as its chief executive officer until stepping down in 2021 ahead of its $44 billion acquisition. He co-founded Square, now Block, alongside Jim McKelvey in 2009, scaling the financial technology enterprise to process $241 billion in annual payments across 57 million users and four million sellers. The firm's ecosystem has since expanded to include Cash App and TIDAL, while Dorsey has directed corporate investments into cryptocurrency, holding 8,584 Bitcoin. He also founded the decentralized network Bluesky and pledged $1 billion of his equity to his philanthropic fund, Start Small. His current focus centers on advancing decentralized web protocols, artificial intelligence integration, and global financial services.
