Jack Phifer

Jack Phifer is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Scope Labs, a digital product development firm based in New York. Previously, he served as the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Finary, a consumer fintech and social investing platform. During his tenure from 2020 to 2023, he guided Finary through the Y Combinator Winter 2021 batch and helped secure $3.2 million in seed funding led by Upfront Ventures. Before entering the venture-backed startup ecosystem, Phifer completed software engineering internships at Nasdaq and Arq Advisors, and served as an undergraduate researcher at J-PAL. He also founded Sunshine State Textbooks, scaling the early venture to 21 employees, while earning a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His career focuses on scaling early-stage technology ventures and developing consumer-facing financial software products.
