Jake Moshenko is the co-founder and CEO of Authzed, an identity and access management startup based in the New York City Metropolitan Area. He established the company in 2020 to develop SpiceDB, an open-source permissions database, and subsequently secured a $12 million Series A funding round in 2022. Previously, Moshenko co-founded DevTable, the creator of the Quay container registry, which was successfully acquired by CoreOS in 2014. Following this acquisition, he served as an engineering leader at CoreOS and Red Hat, managing enterprise container platforms like Tectonic. Earlier in his career, he worked as a software engineer at Google, building a technical foundation in large-scale distributed systems. He holds a computer science degree from the University of Washington, and his current focus centers on building scalable cloud infrastructure and solving complex application authorization challenges.
