Jamie Balsillie

Jamie Balsillie is the co-founder and CEO of Hedgehog, an agricultural technology startup based in San Francisco, California. Founded in February 2022 with backing from Y Combinator, the 18-employee company develops robotic mushroom farms utilizing artificial intelligence to automate production and reduce operational costs. Prior to this venture, he joined Indigo Agriculture pre-revenue and served as the General Manager of two new business units, successfully scaling annual sales to over $250 million. During his tenure, he founded Indigo Carbon, establishing it as the largest agriculture carbon credit platform, and previously consulted in the software and food sectors at McKinsey and Company. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Stanford University, graduating in June 2022. Balsillie's professional background focuses on leveraging robotics, automation, and sustainable farming practices to scale early-stage agricultural technology initiatives.
