Jason Freedman is a General Partner at Orange Collective and the Founder of Peak State Ventures, operating out of the San Francisco Bay Area. Before transitioning into venture capital, he spent a decade as a serial technology entrepreneur and chief executive officer within the Y Combinator ecosystem. He initially founded the travel technology platform FlightCaster during the 2009 accelerator batch, leading the company to an acquisition in 2010. Freedman subsequently launched the commercial real estate startup 42Floors in 2012, scaling the business until its acquisition by Knotel in 2018. Through Orange Collective, he now manages a multi-stage venture fund that leverages a network of more than 150 Y Combinator alumni investors. His current investment mandate focuses on deploying early-stage capital to artificial intelligence founders while utilizing internal research to streamline the evaluation process.
