Jesse Vollmar is the Founder and CEO of Precip, a weather technology startup based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Before launching this current venture, he co-founded and served as the CEO of FarmLogs, an agricultural management software platform that he led from its inception in 2011 until its 2021 acquisition. Under his direct leadership, FarmLogs raised $37 million from prominent investors including Sam Altman and Drive Capital, ultimately serving over 25 percent of United States row crop farms and managing $20 billion in crops. A two-time Y Combinator alumnus participating in both the W12 and W24 batches, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Saginaw Valley State University. Raised on a multi-generational family farm, Vollmar currently focuses on developing specialized, gauge-free precipitation measurement software to advance the broader climate tech and precision agriculture sectors.
